So here it is – my final narrative and I really enjoyed this entire proejct from start to finish. I have never really worked with a video recorder so filming this project was a new experience and I really grasped the technicalilties of working with the camera(even though @ times my friend helped me record it as I was obviously in many of the shots). Also then uploading the entire project onto the computer learning how to edit clips, add transitions, include my voice over was HUGELY beneficial to my learning and experience with creating a short film.
In terms of the material with this video I wish that I had understood that it should have been more conceptual rather than SO litteral. But I didn’t realize that until it was TOO late. Plus the narrative that I used was EXTREMELY literal and imaginative on my brother’s behalf – since this is clearly not how I live my life and I feel that one of the few ways to really ‘ham’ up this narrative was to perform it literally. I spent a great amount time with this project and feel that my effort was tremendous so I give myself a 4 out of 5 stars, and the one star that is missing is my wish to have been a bit more aesthetically/artistically creative!
